One of the most important things when it comes to looking for jobs, is to make sure to keep it up and applying for whatever you can. While this may seem stupid, especially if you are not qualified for a job or think that there is no chance you will get it, but in reality, you never know what may end up happening. If everyone feels that way, then no one will apply and you could get it by default.
Make sure you are connecting with everyone you know to try and find job leads, especially for those jobs that you are qualified for. With the amount of people on social media these days, you may have good luck using sites such as Facebook or Twitter to find jobs in your area. Of course, you should also make sure that your profile is clean and that potential employers will not find anything that may turn them off from hiring you.
Make sure you are looking in all the different places that you can find for jobs. You never know where you might find the job that was made just for you. There are the obvious places like the job websites and the company websites, but try sites like Craigslist. You never know where employers may post their jobs; chances are they are using multiple sites to find people. If there is a company that you really want to work for, email them to see if they have any openings or if they can give you some advice to help you get hired on there. Tell them how much you want to work there too!
